Course requests are entered into the DSL Course Request Module (by the students), then pulled by a special extraction routine and loaded back into SIS by MDECA. Loading course requests from DSL into SIS is a two-step process, and can be done in real-time.  DSL course requests are NOT included in the nightly extracts for DSL.

1. The user will notify MDECA when they are ready to extract requests from DSL database.  MDECA extracts requests using DSLUtility.

2. MDECA loads course requests into SIS using REMIS program REQULOAD, and notifies the user when the two step procedure has been completed.

After the initial process has been run, the extraction/REQULOAD can be run multiple times, but will only process NEW course requests.  Re-running DSLUtility and REQULOAD will not delete or update any changes.  Once the DSL data has been extracted to the SIS building tables, course request and schedule changes MUST be processed in SIS.
