8D.1 ABHI – Student Cumulative Absence History

ABHI is used to display absence history for each student.  Absence history data is updated with B115.  ABHI records can also be manually added or updated.

P173 is used in conjunction with B115.  B115 cumulates the ABSE data into the ABHI record.  The data on ABHI will then be used for attendance reporting on grade cards and transcripts.  Absence types with a qualifier of N – Not Absent From School, cannot be moved to ABHI.

Batch job B115 is used to cumulate the ABSE data into the ABHI records.  Only absence types with a qualifier of “F” or “P” may be moved to ABHI (absence history).  This program should be run at the end of the 9 weeks prior to creating report cards.  It is mandatory that you process the B115 for any previous marking periods so that any changes on ABSE will be reflected on ABHI.  Otherwise the attendance would NOT be accurate on the report cards. 

 

8D.1.3 ABHI – Student Cumulative Absence History

 

ABHI works in ADD, CHANGE, DISPLAY and DELETE modes.

Student ABHI records may be accessed by student ID or by name.  To use the name access, press DELETE (backspace) when prompted for student ID.  You will then be asked to enter the student’s last name.  You may include the student’s first name as part of the search by separating the LAST and FIRST name with a single comma, no spaces.  Ex:  ABBOTT, JACK

Student, school year, term, reporting period, and absence type are kept in ABHI data.  The information will be used to print attendance on report cards and student transcripts.  ABHI does not store absence reasons or notes. 

ABHI information for the current year may be manually added at the end of each grading period if you do not do daily attendance on the system.  You may also use ABHI to add previous year’s attendance information for printing on transcripts.
