Basic Reporting EMIS Routine for On-Line Expert Help

The Basic Reporting EMIS Routine for On-Line Expert Help is a simple program to allow users some assistance in determining the proper REMIS coding for various EMIS student situations.  It is very simple to use.  The user simply navigates through a series of bar menus until enough information has been gathered to determine the coding.  The coding is then displayed on the screen.  The program can be exited by choosing "Exit" from the first menu or by using CTRL/Z.  You can back up one menu level by pressing the "SELECT" key.

BRERFOX will lead you through a series of menus allowing you to select options to determine what STATUS/ATT combination to use for student situations, what range of percent-of-time to select, whether a special education condition is indicated, or if the student is a resident attending elsewhere, whether the student should be withdrawn in SIS or not.

BRERFOX displays information pertinent to the situation on the screen.  BRERFOX does not update any records.  It is simply to assist you in selecting the proper Status/ATT code combination to use.  Once you have the information on a particular situation, you must go to the STUD record in SIS and code the student.

From the MAIN MENU, outside of SIS, select REMIS.

Select BRERFOX from the REMIS menu.

Use arrow keys to scroll up or down.
Press the <Return> key to make a selection or exit.

Press <Return> key to make selection.

Enough information has been gathered to determine the Status/Att coding.
The coding displays on the screen; the STUD record in SIS must be coded.
