One- Page Checklist for Scheduling

 

q     Run REPO reports for current information

 

q     Update P102 - School Departments (if desired) must be done before CRSE

 

q     Update CRSE - Course Master File

 

q     Update CGRP - Course Group File, header information only

 

q     Update P501 - Artificial Courses (Study Halls, Lunch, Aids, etc)

 

q     Add/Transfer new students to be scheduled

 

q     Print Course Request Scan sheets, if used (optional)

 

q     Add course requests, Manually  (REQU or CREQ) or by Scanning

 

q     Batch Update Requests (if used) at this time

 

q     Produce Reports to assist in creation of the Class Master Schedule (CMST)

 

q     Review/Update Teachers (TEAC)and Rooms (ROOM)

 

q     Create Master Schedule (CMST) and Course Group Master (CGRP)

 

q     Review/Update Scheduling Control Parameters.

 

q     Submit B108 to activate Batch Scheduler. All users must be out of SIS in your bldg.

 

q     Produce additional reports to help “fine tune” Master Schedule (see Batch Scheduling Overview

 

q     Make changes to applicable areas and resubmit B108.  Repeat this process until a Final Master Schedule is Developed or until acceptable percentage is achieved

 

q     Use on-line Scheduler (SCHE) to clean up remaining students who are not fully scheduled.

 

q     Review/update Study Hall Parameters (P511, P520 & P520)

 

q     Resubmit B108 to assign study halls. All users must be out of SIS in your bldg.

 

q     Assign homerooms, fees and lockers IF PRINTED ON SCHEDULES

 

q     Process R701 to generate schedules to hand out to students.
