Tables Used for Scheduling

 

 

P102 -     Departments: This screen defines the departments in which courses are classified.  Examples - English, Math, etc.

 

P502 -     (optional) Rules are set up to update schedules in a batch.  Ex.: all 8^th graders are batch scheduled into Art and Phys Ed.  Conditions are defined on this screen then the B114 is run to Batch Update Course Requests.

 

P501 -     Artificial Courses: This screen is used to add artificial courses (those classes not receiving grades-i.e. study hall, lunch, teachers aid)

 

ROOM -The ROOM screen defines the rooms within your building.

 

TEAC -  The TEAC screen defines the teachers in your building.

 

CRSE -   The CRSE screen defines the courses that are being taught in your building.

 

CMST -  Class Master Schedule: This screen is used to define the class meeting information corresponding to each course that will be offered in a given year.

 

CGRP -  Class Group Schedule: This is used to define classes for groups of students who stay together for some or all of their classes.  Used for scheduling elementary schools.

 

REQU - Student Course Request file:  This screen is used to maintain and update student course requests for each school year.

 

SCHE -   On-Line Scheduler: This screen is used to schedule students.

 

B108 -    Batch Scheduler:  This is the batch job used to schedule students into the courses requested.  Before running this batch job, there are several parameter screens that should be checked.  P511-P521
